Stash Acquisition ;)

I just couldn't resist these patterns and fabrics. I LOVE hand-dyed fabrics. Front row from left is 40 CT R&R Reproduction Light Cappuccino, 40 CT R&R Ink Spot Black, 30 CT R&R Butternut. Second row is Silkweaver 28 CT opalescent Jazlyn Blue Shimmer, 32 CT Silkweaver Solo Belfast, 32 CT Sugar Maple Fabric Petunia Path Belfast. And then the charts are Mermaids of the Deep Blue and Bliss Fairy with the beads and braid needed. None of these fabrics are for these two charts though, I haven't decided what I'll be doing these patterns on, and I don't have anything specific in mind for these linens either, I just had to have them :)
Thanks for all who have come by to visit.

Easter Fairy

Here is an update to Easter Fairy. This has been a real joy to work on. I have had very little time to stitch over the past few weeks, hence the lack of any recent postings. But hope to get more stitching in soon.
Thanks to all who've been visiting my blog, I really enjoy and appreciate the comments.

Algerian Eyelets - ACK!!!!

This has to be the worst photo I've ever taken. Our digital camera is broken so I'm using one from the stone age. You can't even see the true colors on this piece. The border is mostly Algerian Eyelet stitches and I have to say that I DON'T like doing them. The area between the border and the green threads (not that you can see what is green) will also be Algerian Eyelets and Rice Stitches. I'm not crazy about specialty stitches when I cross stitch. I do some needlepoint and they are fun to do on a stiff canvas but not floppy linen.
Thanks to everyone who's visited my blog. I appreciate the comments. Your making blogging fun ;)

A New Start

This is the beginning of Easter Fairy by Miribilia. I would love to do this whole series. You may be asking yourself why I would start EASTER Fairy since Easter has just gone by. Well...... because it struck my fancy :). I love, love, love the fabric I am doing her on. I didn't like the natural linen that came in the kit. Hope to have more to show next week, thanks for visiting.

St. Petersburg White Nights

Hello - I'm trying to figure out this blogging thing and this is my first post. This is Chatelaine's St. Petersburg White Nights, which is an on-line class. I have part one completely done and am currently working on part two. It is a very sparkly piece but you can't really see that in the picture. I hope you enjoy my blog.
