Miss New Year's Update and some stash

Here is my update on Miss New Year's. I LOVE working on her. I can't remember the last time I did not stitch on hand-dyed linen and I'm finding this is a nice change, all of her colors pop so much better on a plain color.
I did a little more shopping. We have upper row: Silkweaver 32ct Jobelan "Dreamin" and Silkweaver 32ct lugana "Iris Garden" (super pretty), bottom row: Silkweaver Tallahassee Teal 32ct belfast linen and Silkweaver 32ct belfast linen "Thunderstorm", all FQ's.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a nice weekend stitching!

As long as you don't find this comment too contentious, I find Miss New Year is looking lovely. ;-) Yes, even though we can be drawn to variegated fabric and variegated fabric, sometimes a solid color IS better.

Oh she is going to be stunning! I can picture her framed on displayed on my buffet with party hats and blow horns, confetti, that type of stuff for the holiday. I'm glad she's a piece you enjoy stitching.

She's looking wonderful. I so like seeing these done up, they look so much better than the pictures on the patterns. The fabric does set her off well, as it isn't competing with her colors for attention the way some other colors of fabric could.

Your new fabric stash is lovely too, it will be fun to see what you decide to stitch on it.

Yummy fabrics, you seem to buy alot every week (?). When you decide you don't like them anymore, feel free to make me your trash can hahaha. Have a great evening!
