The plague of the frogs :(

The frogs have hit like the plague. I already had trepidations about starting up St. Petersburg White Nights again and once I got started I REMEMBERED the counting error I had made before I put this away about 4 months ago. In my counting I was off by one stitch, which doesn't sound too bad, but the fallout is collosal (did I spell that right?). On a piece like this where everything builds on what you've already stitched you can't be off by even one stitch (which actually threw an entire row off). I am now paying dearly for this mistake. I am good at compensating but this is really draining my brain to figure out how to stitch this upper right corner around this error. Not only am I trying to figure this out but I'm ripping out as much as I'm stitching. I am trying to stay positive though, I was able to finish the lower right corner before the frogs hit.

I am done working on this for this week and I'm glad to put it away. Hopefully I'll be better prepared for the challenge next week when it comes up in my rotation again.

Oh no! Is it a mistake made early on? From the picture it looks absolutely beautiful :o) I can certainly understand the frustration though. HUGS!

Ouch! That would be challenging to try to do on a piece like this. It's really gorgous, the fabric you are using are beautiful.

That is so gorgeous, and I love the coloring on it. I really enjoy seeing it turn up in your rotation. Sorry the frogs came, that would be so frustrating. It is hard enough stitching on a darker fabric, but then to have to frog or try to adjust your stitching around an area would be even harder. Hopefully the frogs are gone and the rest of the area will go smoother for you.

Looks lovely from this side of the computer screen. I hope you can figure out how to get around those dratted frogs.

Miscounting is such a bummer. I seem to do that more than I would like.

Your piece is so beautiful. Just keep thinking how beautiful it will be in the end.

Well it looks great to me. But I know how you feel and hope maybe you can do something to remedy the problem without too much frogging.
No More Frogging!!

That is such a beautiful piece. I just love it. I know it is so frustrating when you are off by one. Crystal Tree was off by 1/2 and I had to tear it out and start over - way back last March but it is done and I am happy with it. When you are finished it will be worth every stitch, every frog and every little bit of frustration you have had. Hang in there. I am cheering for you.

That is stunning. Sometimes you need a break away from it to be ready to attack the problem area.

Oh those dirty, nasty monster frogs. We must cast a spell and send them far, far away. Best of luck in getting it all squared away, it is truly amazing! You are doing a stupendous job stitching it and all the other things you are working on too.

Even one stitch out it still looks beautiful! I'm sure you'll be able to work it out.

I've abandoned mine for now - I couldn't cope with St Pete and morning sickness at the same time! But I am making great progress on Medieval Town Mandala.
