My new start

Well here is my new start. Mermaids of the Deep Blue by Miribilia. I know that most people under the sun have stitched this piece but I've had it in my stash for a while and it's for one of my daughters. I'm stitching this on Silkweaver's Ocean Fantasy. I took 2 pics so you could see the fabric better. It's a really pretty dark blue, much darker than what it looks in the pics.

I received a lot of comments about my putting my Chatelaine St. Petersburg away, so I might try to hang in there. I'll need to figure out some type of rotation so I can at least do a little on it to try and get past the backstitching on part V. Once I'm past the backstitching I think I'll be okay. Thanks for the encouragement everyone.

"Take spring when it comes, and rejoice. Take happiness when it comes, and rejoice. Take love when it comes, and rejoice."

Great start on the mermaid! Even if the color of the fabric isn't showing true in the photo, it's still lovely.

I love your new start - this is such a gorgeous linen you've chosen! It would be a shame to relegate St Petersburg forever - maybe just take a small break? You've put SO much effort into it, and it's stunning!

Looking good. Nice fabric color.

Good luck with trying a rotation. Hope it works for you. I found that I felt pressured all the time by a rotation, so I keep with my natural rotation of when I get bored with something, I move on to somthing else. Then back and forth, unless I am under a deadline on something.

You have a wonderful start on the Mermaid. The colour is stunning.
I'm glad I'm not alone on the St Pete's ,I would love to see it again.
Rotation works for me! I try to back stitch as I go. I can't face hours and hours of backstitching.

The rest of your pieces are pretty .I like the kitties.

Mermaids looks great, you've made a wonderful start and it is looking fantastic against that fabric. Sweeter love is looking good too, glad the over 1 seems to be going well. Sorry to hear the Chatelaine piece is turning into a UFO. However, even if you only work on it occationally it will eventually get done, and it's to lovely to never get finished up. Maybe you just need a nice long break before it appeals to you again.

Hi there! Thanks for sending me anniversary wishes. We are doing so many similar projects! Since I have a piece of fabric to give away, I thought you might like to know about it. It's a Canadian-based design with maple leaves etc. Have a look. Put your name in the hat!

It is gorgeous, I adore the way the fabric makes it look like the mermaid is looking up to the surface of the water with the rays of sun-light coming down.
