Update on St. Petersburg

Well, since the kids are out of school I've barely done any stitching. We're trying hard to get our pool to the point of being able to swim in it, it still has a lot of algae in it. I took the kids to a driving range this morning to hit golf balls which was a lot of fun.

This is how far I am on St. Petersburg White Nights. This is going so slowly but at least I'm working on it. It is a stunning piece but it will probably take me another full year to finish it.

Thanks to everyone who gave me tips and websites to go to for dying linen. A friend and myself are going to give it a try, this should be very interesting :).

St. Petersburg is breathtaking, what an undertaking, kudos!

I hope you get your pool up and running before it gets too hot; it is 113 here in Phoenix today, too bad I don't have a pool.

Mermaid in your earlier post looked lovely, the fabric she's on is great. I'm glad you were able to work around the one area where your count got off. Good luck with dying your own fabric. I've seen others do it but never tried it myself. St. Petersburg is looking lovely too. These pieces are gorgeous, but so detailed and involved. Both these will be awesome when done.
